Z31 Ignition Coil
The Z31 Ignition Coil is a high output ignition coil comparable to many performance coils. Replacing your Coil with an aftermarket coil will not increase any performance in your Z.

Testing the Ignition Coil
You can test your ignition coil by checking the resistance between the primary and secondary windings. Use a multimeter to measure the resistance across the terminals as shown below.
| Terminals | Expected Resistance |
|---|---|
| 1 – 2 | 1 Ω |
| 1 – 3 | 10k Ω |
Note: If your coil readings are outside these ranges, the coil is internally bad and should be replaced.
