Z32 300ZX US Market Registry

Enter a 1990–1996 300ZX VIN to see what the factory records say about it: model code, build date, paint and interior. All information is as the car came from the factory. If you own one, claim it in your forum garage to add your details and photos.

The VIN is on the plate at the left of the dash (look through the windshield), on the F.M.V.S.S. label in the driver’s door jamb, and stamped at the back of the engine bay. European-market cars are in the European Z32 registry and Canadian-market cars in the Canadian Z32 registry.

Z32 VIN Search

Search by any mix of VIN (or part of one), model code, build month, colors, body and drivetrain, seats, climate control, condition and owner. Roof, engine, seats, grade, transmission and market are read from the model code as laid out in the factory service manual (see the breakdown above). Upholstery and climate control come from the option letters at the end of the model code: G = automatic climate control, C = manual A/C, Y or W = leather (no letter = cloth), worked out from Nissan’s parts catalog. Owner names and places match only owners who chose to show them.

Is one of these cars yours?

Owner details are kept up to date from your XenonZcar forum garage. Log in, claim your car once (only one member can hold each car, so nobody else can change your car’s record), and then you can update the owner name, location, condition, mileage, website link, comments and photos any time. Your name and location show publicly only if you choose; otherwise only XenonZcar admins see them. Your car also shows on your forum profile.

  1. Log in to the XenonZcar forum (or join; it’s free).
  2. Open My garage, pick Z32 300ZX under “Which Z?” and enter the 17-character VIN.
  3. If the car is already in the registry and no other member has it, it goes straight into your garage with the details you entered. Otherwise an admin confirms the claim, usually within a day or two. Sold the car? Transfer it to the buyer from your garage and it stays in the car’s history.
